Amata Spring Country Club

Located at about the halfway point on the road from Bangkok to Pattaya on the coast, Amata Spring Country Club has all the trappings of a first-rank, tournament-ready layout: extended, rolling fairways, strategically positioned bunkers and tricky water hazards. A successful round therefore depends on the ability to shoot far and with precision and to work the short game. The only floating green so far in Asia is the 17th here, which requires a boat ride to reach the sculpted green; if your shot misses the 147-yard shot to the postage stamp green, it disappears beneath the waves. For all that, the layout accommodates players of all skill levels. Amata Spring has hosted such events as the 2011-2014 Thailand Golf Championships and the 2012 Asian Pacific Amateur Championship. The spacious, hacienda-style clubhouse looks out over the course, where players can relax at one of two restaurants or the cigar bar.
